An Evening With Maggie Worsdale

  • Queen Street Playhouse 20 Queen Street Charleston, SC, 29401 United States (map)

TWO SHOWS, ONE NIGHT!
Show #1: 6:00pm Show #2: 8:30pm

Maggie Worsdale has performed at many of the major concert halls, cabarets and jazz venues around the country and in Europe. She has released four studio albums and has appeared as a guest artist on three others and has a voice that defies categorization. Jazz, Broadway, standards and novelty songs are all part of her repertoire. In 2009 and 2010 Maggie was selected as one of the 10 Best Jazz Singers in NY/NJ area and was featured in the annual Sinatra Birthday Bash Celebration at the world famous Count Basie Theater.

Join us for the February installment of our popular Sunday Night Speakeasy Series as Maggie, and her longtime accompanist Rocky Tucker, serve up an evening of intimate cabaret that includes ‘songs from the silver screen, Broadway, a little Gershwin, a little Berlin, a little sweet, and a little spicy. ‘

Mr. Tucker has been accompanying Maggie Worsdale both nationally and internationally for over 2 decades. From Cabaret Clubs in San Francisco, Dallas, New York, Cape Cod, Paris, London, and Madrid, Maggie and Rocky have been singing the tunes and tickling the ivories and now they are here in Charleston.
