In the two-man musical spoof Gutenberg!: The Musical!, a pair of aspiring playwrights perform a backers’ audition for their new, hilariously ill-advised project – a big, splashy and historically inaccurate new musical about printing press inventor Johann Gutenberg. This hilarious new musical tells the story of Bud and Doug, two best pals putting on a show together because they just love each other so damn much. It’s art imitating life imitating art!
The show made its limited run Broadway in 2023, closing on Jan. 28th, 2024.
